Live from IFA Berlin | AUX Partners with Manchester City to Redefine Global Air Solutions

Berlin, September 4 (local time) – At IFA Berlin, one of the world’s leading stages for the consumer electronics industry, AUX showcased the combined strength of its technology, products and global brand. Alongside a robust portfolio of smart air conditioners and air-source heat pumps, AUX brought its newly announced global partnership with Manchester City Football Club to Europe, highlighting the company’s evolving global strategy – from exporting products to exporting technology, solutions and brand value.

Authoritative local media conducted an onsite interview with Lemon Lv, CEO of AUX Home Appliance Group at IFA. According to Lv, the exhibition marks an important milestone in AUX Air Conditioning’s continued expansion across global markets. “We are no longer simply exporting hardware products. We are entering mainstream European markets with our self-developed core technologies, localized solutions tailored to market needs, and a refreshed global brand identity.”

Manchester City’s presence was one of the standout highlights at the AUX booth. Shortly before the opening of IFA, AUX officially became the Global Official Partner and Official Air-Conditioning Partner of Manchester City Football Club. According to Lv, the partnership is built on a strong alignment of values: Manchester City is defined by its pursuit of excellence and continuous progress on the pitch, while AUX Air Conditioning has spent more than three decades advancing its technology and pushing the boundaries of innovation. Rather than a short-term campaign designed to generate immediate exposure, the partnership represents a long-term strategic move supporting AUX’s global brand development. By harnessing the universal appeal of football, AUX aims to reshape perceptions of Chinese home-appliance manufacturing and present a more technology-driven, ambitious and internationally recognized air-conditioning brand to consumers around the world. In Europe, AUX has established a clear two-pronged positioning: for consumers, the brand aims to provide smart, reliable and youthful home-appliance solutions tailored to local lifestyles; for industry partners, AUX positions itself as a long-term partner with strong R&D capabilities, a commitment to local market development, and an open, mutually beneficial approach to collaboration.

AUX’s shift from product-led exports to broader value creation is underpinned by a strong and long-standing global market track record. According to Frost & Sullivan, AUX ranked among the world’s top three brands by sales of residential split air conditioners for seven consecutive years from 2018 to 2024. It also led global smart air-conditioner sales for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025. Today, AUX products are sold in more than 160 countries and regions. The company has also established local sales subsidiaries and dedicated operating teams in 11 countries, further strengthening its localized presence in overseas markets.

On the technology front, AUX views AI as a key driver of its global competitiveness. Building on years of expertise in smart air-conditioning, the company follows its strategic proposition, “Good Air, AI-Tuned,” with a focus on using AI to optimize multiple dimensions of indoor air quality and comfort. Supported by strong R&D capabilities in smart technologies, AUX has obtained two major industry certifications: the L4 Full-Unit Intelligence Certification and the L5 Intelligent Voice Certification. These certifications further reinforce the company’s competitive position in the smart air-conditioning sector. The flagship i9 series, winner of the 2026 Red Dot Design Award in Germany, goes beyond conventional temperature control to provide comprehensive air management across multiple dimensions, including temperature, humidity, airflow and air cleanliness. Centered around this product platform, AUX has developed a comprehensive AI strategy built around seven core capabilities: AI oxygen adjustment, AI sterilization, AI airflow control, AI temperature control, AI humidity control, AI energy saving and AI voice control. Together, these capabilities enable the system to sense environmental conditions in real time and automatically adjust operation.

AUX has developed a comprehensive product portfolio tailored to the needs of the European market. Its residential ultra-low-temperature wall-mounted heating units can operate at temperatures as low as -40°C, with a maximum heating capacity of 8 kW, making them suitable for demanding winter conditions in Northern Europe. Air-source heat pumps are another key strategic focus for AUX in Europe. The all-in-one systems integrate heating, cooling and domestic hot-water functions while incorporating heat-recovery technology. The units can achieve an energy-efficiency rating of up to A+++ and maintain stable heating performance at temperatures as low as -25°C. Among them, the R290 heat pump can operate at full heating load at -7°C and deliver hot water at temperatures of up to 80°C. It also supports multi-unit cascading for expanded capacity and has obtained major European certifications and approvals including ErP, Keymark, CE and BAFA. An AUX product specialist at the booth commented: “This heat pump, which uses a natural refrigerant, will be one of our flagship products for German-speaking markets.”

Behind AUX’s product portfolio lies a comprehensive global R&D and manufacturing network. AUX Air Conditioning operates seven manufacturing bases worldwide and has established three R&D centers in Ningbo and Zhuhai, China, and in Japan. The plastics production facility at the Ningbo Intelligent Manufacturing Base is recognized as a fully automated “lights-out factory,” reflecting the company’s investment in advanced manufacturing capabilities. In June 2025, AUX commissioned its own air-conditioner compressor plant, with a planned total annual production capacity of 30 million units. As of March 2025, AUX had secured more than 12,000 domestic and international patents related to air-conditioning technologies, providing a strong foundation for continued product and technology development.

Beyond hardware, AUX’s global competitiveness is also supported by its service capabilities. The company operates more than 5,700 service outlets worldwide and works with over 80,000 certified engineers. Across overseas markets, AUX provides service response times of approximately 24 to 48 hours, addressing a long-standing challenge in the global home-appliance industry: ensuring that after-sales support keeps pace with market expansion.

As the brand momentum generated by its partnership with Manchester City converges with its growing AI capabilities at IFA Berlin, AUX is sending a clear message to the global market: competition in the air-conditioning industry has moved far beyond hardware manufacturing alone. With intelligent technology at its core, the Manchester City partnership strengthening its global brand presence, and localized R&D, manufacturing, sales and after-sales capabilities providing the foundation, AUX is moving beyond its traditional role as an air-conditioner manufacturer to become a global provider of air solutions, opening a new chapter in the international development of Chinese air-conditioning brands.
