The New CCNP: Changes and Thought

The following CCNP tracks were accessible before to 2020:

  • Concepts of Cloud Computing with CCNP
  • working together with the CCNP
  • For the CCNP, a data center
  • Routing and Switching Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • CCNP services provider
  • Mobile CCNP
  • Safety CCNP

The CCNP tracks listed below are now accessible:

  • For the CCNP, a data center
  • Working together with the CCNP
  • Business CCNP
  • Safety CCNP
  • CCNP services provider
  • Professional Cisco DevNet certified (new)
  • Professional with Cisco CyberOps certification (new)

New requirements for CCNP certification:

The new Exams have more criteria to meet in order to be “Certified” because they are linked to the Cisco Certificate Network Professional certification.

To obtain the CCNP credential, you will only need to pass two exams as opposed to the former system’s requirement of completing at least three to four tests.

There are two separate requirements you must satisfy before you can become certified under the new system:

1.  A Technology Core Exam, which opens the door to two distinct certification paths. (CCIE and CCNP).

— and it will look like this:

– Data Center, Enterprise, Security, Service Provider, Collaboration, and the recently established DEVNET

2- There are one to seven different technologies to concentrate on for each of the seven domains listed in Point “1” on a technology concentration exam.

It’s comparable to obtaining a Master’s degree in engineering in that you investigate certain broad areas while focusing on others.

Consider doing more research on that particular topic; in the end, you will be a “Master” in the broadest sense, with a brief notation in your master certificate referencing the study or project you carried out.

Additionally, there are no longer any prerequisite exams for CCNP tests, and you can take whatever exam you want and get a badge by simply enrolling in it.

You can start learning about network design with either the CCDE directly or the newly created ENSLD exam, which covers the Enterprise domain, as the previous CCDP has been phased out.

which you may additionally make use of in conjunction with the CCNP Enterprise Core exam (CCNP ENCOR) in order to obtain the CCNP Enterprise Badge!

Adjustments to the CCIE

The current CCIE level is broken into numerous subcategories, including CCIE Routing and Switching, Security, Collaboration, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless, similar to the CCNA and CCNP certifications.

Additionally, the CCIE level will be condensed into fewer specialties in the new updated version, including the following:

At the moment, passing both a written and a lab test is necessary to become a CCIE.

CCIE for Enterprise Infrastructure (wired networks)

  • Enterprise Wireless CCIE Enterprise Wireless CCIE
  • CCIE security.
  • CCIE services provider
  • CCIE data center
  • working together with the CCIE
  • At the moment, passing both a written and a lab test is necessary to become a CCIE.

For each track in the new CCIE level, there will be two tests necessary:

  1. An examination of essential technologies (same as CCNP core exam).
  2. A lab test with two modules—”Deploy, Operate, and Optimize” and “Design.”

Once more, if you obtain a CCIE today, it will be valid until February 24. (for a period of three years following certification).

Adjustments to the CCNP

The CCNA pathways that were in place required professionals to select a specialty when they reached the CCNA level (e.g Routing & Switching, Security, etc).

However, with the most recent advancements, specialists will be able to concentrate on a certain technological field.

Various specialty tracks, including Routing & Switching, Security, Service Provider, Cloud, Wireless, and Data Center, are currently offered at the CCNP level.

A smaller number of specialties will make up the new updated CCNP level, so pls see 350-401 ENCOR post which including the following:

  • Business CCNP (wired and wireless fields)
  • Safety CCNP
  • CCNP services provider
  • For the CCNP, a data centre
  • working together with the CCNP
  • Professional Cisco DevNet certified

Currently, passing three or four exams is necessary to obtain a CCNP (depending on which specialisation you are looking at). There are now only two examinations you must pass to earn the CCNP designation:

  1. A basic concepts-focused introductory study.
  2. A concentration exam tailored to the selected specialisation (see above).

Additionally, there are no prerequisite examinations for the new CCNP.

People who earn a CCNP certification before February 24, 2020 will automatically be “upgraded” to the new equivalent CCNP, just like with the CCNA. You will eventually need to recertify using the new tests, and the three-year expiration term is still in effect.

Amendments to the CCNA

The CCNA Routing & Switching, Security, Wireless, Cloud, Data Center, Industrial, and Service Provider tracks (specialisations) will all be eliminated.

A single exam (200-301), including all of these courses, will lead to a single certification called simply “CCNA.” As a result, the new CCNA 200-301 test will evaluate candidates’ knowledge of a range of fields (taken from previous CCNA tracks), as well as their programming and automating skills.
